Several summers ago my six year old son became seriously ill with a
mysterious virus. It was frightening because after he was admitted to the
hospital a team of doctors and a battery of tests couldn't determine which
of two rare and dangerous diseases he had. With the few clues that we had,
I decided to search the internet; something that would have been unthinkable
only a few years ago. Sure enough, with the internet's enormous wealth of
medical information, I was able to pinpoint in a very short time, the
symptoms that led to a successful diagnosis and a return to full health for
my son. When it comes to health issues and concerns for myself and my
family, the net has consistently proved to be a tremendous resource.
